Zolder Testing

After the problems of the snowed off test at Spa it was good to get over to Belgium and get some running in the car during the first official Renault Test Day. 22 Renault Clio cup cars turned up for the first test with drivers registered for the series and coming from England, Wales, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Czechozlovikia. This makes the Championship very much cosmopolitan.

Despite no running in the wet it was inevitable that this would be my first experience of the car in such conditions. A number of trips to the gravel track did not please Team RSA, although ultimately by the end of the day we seemed to be in good shape being within a second of the outright pace. This weekend sees Rounds 1 and 2.
