Race Report - Donington Park

Genuine progress

Genuine progress was shown in the free practice on Friday with 3rd and 4th in each session. It looked like we were going to have some real pace over the weekend and were aiming for a podium in both races.

For qualifying on the Saturday morning a change in set up did not prove to be ideal and resulted in a qualifying position of 4th and 5th for both races.

For Race 1 it had been raining all night and we were the first race on the grid on the Sunday morning.

With poor visibility immediately off the start line and into regrade corner two of the Class A cars made contact and the resulting moet resulted in a 10 car shunt. Regrettably we were in the middle of this shunt with extensive damage to both the front and rear of the car. Only two cars took the re-start from the ten involved in the accident.

Another character building weekend had come to an abrupt end.
