Race Report - Brands Hatch
In what was likely to be my final performance of 2
In what was likely to be my final performance of 2007 all of the bad luck seemed to return in one go!During free practice on the Friday and having only completed 3 laps the engine expired with extensive top end damage resulting in a need to rent an engine from Seat UK.
Due to the time constraints involved the team were only able to get these works completed in time for the race without competing in either practice session. I was therefore obliged to start both races from the back of the grid, although avoided the standard 10 second penalty.
Clearly the engine provided by Seat was not as competitive as my own, although in Race 1 I was able to rise to 6th position and in Race 2 enjoyed a fantastic 3 car battle finishing in 7th position.
